Our Story
Chicago Flips Red began in 2024 as a grassroots civic movement born out of frustration with one-party rule, lack of accountability, and the silencing of dissenting voices in Chicago.
What started with residents showing up to public comment at Chicago City Council and Cook County Board meetings — asserting their First Amendment rights and challenging elected officials on public safety, government spending, and policy decisions impacting working families — quickly grew into something bigger.
They tried to silence us. It only made us louder.
Those public comment appearances were often met with resistance, censorship, and political pushback. But that only solidified the movement's resolve to remain present, documented, and on the record. From press conferences to protests to national media, Chicago Flips Red became a movement that could no longer be ignored.

On the Record
As the movement grew, Chicago Flips Red began holding press conferences across Chicago — outside City Hall, following Cook County Board meetings, and in response to major policy decisions involving transportation funds, sanctuary city spending, and public safety.
These weren't just photo ops. Press conferences were used to clarify positions, respond to misinformation, and put elected officials on notice: we see you, and we're not going away.
Leadership also participated in local and national interviews, expanding the movement's reach beyond Chicago and into national policy discussions on sanctuary cities, public safety, education, and free speech.

The Congressional Record
Chicago Flips Red reached a national stage when Danielle Carter-Walters testified before both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.
Her testimony placed Chicago's challenges — particularly regarding sanctuary city policies and public safety — into the official congressional record, establishing Chicago Flips Red as a movement engaged in policy, not just protest.
From public comment at City Hall to testimony on Capitol Hill — in less than a year.

They Couldn't Ignore Us
Presidential Acknowledgment

In December 2024, prior to being sworn in as the 47th President, Donald Trump privately acknowledged Chicago Flips Red, sending messages of appreciation and encouragement. He later publicly referenced Black women in Chicago wearing red hats and demanding change — a statement widely recognized as a nod to the movement's activism.

The movement that's changing Chicago politics
What We Believe
Our principles aren't negotiable. They're the foundation everything we do is built on.
Accountability
Politicians work for us, not the other way around. We demand transparency, results, and consequences for failure.
Community First
Every decision should be made with neighborhoods in mind. Safe streets, good schools, thriving local businesses.
Relentless Action
Talk is cheap. We measure success by doors knocked, votes won, and real change delivered to Chicago families.
Individual Liberty
We reject collectivism in all its forms—fascist and Marxist alike. Free people and free markets, not government control.
